Transportation

Sir William Romney’s is a popular school and students are admitted each year from a wide catchment area. Our designated area covers Ashley, Avening, Beverston, Cherington, Didmarton, Horsley, Kingscote, Leighterton, Long Newnton, Nailsworth, Rodmarton, Shipton Moyne, Tetbury, Tetbury Upton and Westonbirt, plus choice area with Rednock School; Nympsfield and choice area with Thomas Keble School: Minchinhampton. For childen who live within this area the Local Authority arranges transport to the school. For those in the shared catchment with Thomas Keble school transport is available to the nearest school.

There are excellent transport links from Stroud and some of its surrounding villages for those who live outside the catchment area. There are two routes to and from Stroud. One of these services is operated by Cotswold Green (131) and the other by Stagecoach West ( 69).

Extra-Curricular Transportation

We very much value the importance of extra-curricular activities and there is an after school minibus service to Avening, Nailsworth and Horsley at 4.40 pm on two days a week for students who live in these areas to support their involvement with after school clubs. For students who live in Stroud there is a bus service run by Cotswold Green Bus Company.
