We are delighted to invite you to a one hour workshop at SWR in partnership with Progressive Masculinity Ltd. Progressive Masculinity is an educational company which specialises in helping boys and young men reconstruct attitudes towards masculinity, encouraging a healthy and open-minded understanding of their potential as young men. Please note that this session is open to parents regardless of the gender of their child.
The workshop will present evidence based information on a range of factors which affect the way they interpret masculinity, as well as providing supportive strategies for us to be able to help our boys and young men fulfil their potential. Areas covered include:
· ‘Lad culture’
· Masculinity in the digital world (social media, influencers etc)
· Attitudes towards education
· Effective communication
· Attitudes towards women and LGBTQ+
· Anger management, de-escalation and self-regulation
The workshop will take place at school on Tuesday January 10th in the school hall starting at 6pm. Please complete the online form (https://forms.office.com/e/FsBv45wnmc) if you wish to attend.
