We are immensely proud of our students at SWR today, who have achieved outstanding GCSE results.
Their positive attitude and resilience throughout their time with us will be fondly remembered. Despite the significant challenges posed by the pandemic, this year group has shown remarkable perseverance and should take great pride in their accomplishments.
This morning has been a wonderful celebration, bringing together students, staff, and parents/carers to honor these achievements. We are particularly pleased to see significant improvements across several subjects this year, reflecting the tireless dedication of both our students and staff. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations and thanks to our students, staff, and the Athelstan Trust team for their unwavering commitment and energy in making this success possible. I also want to express my deep gratitude to the parents, carers, and families who have partnered with us throughout this journey.
At SWR, we believe it is vital to celebrate all our students, regardless of their grades, recognizing the unique contributions each has made to our school community. Our values of aspiration, collaboration, and resilience are truly embodied by this cohort, and we take pride in their collective and individual achievements.
We would like to give special recognition to the following students who have made exceptional progress:
– Sienna B
– Lilly B-W
– Sophie N
– Archie H
– George H
– Rebecca S
It has been an honour to work with such an outstanding group of Year 11 students in my first year as Headteacher at SWR.
I am incredibly proud of their achievements and wish them all the very best as they move on to the next exciting chapter in their lives. I would also like to thank our staff, as well as all parents and carers, for their tremendous support over the past year.
Mr. Will Ruscoe
