In accordance with the requirements of current legislation, and on behalf of the Athelstan Trust, I am
writing to consult with you on a proposed change to the Pupil Admission Number (PAN) at Sir William
Romney’s School. This change would apply to applications for admission from September 2027,
covering the academic year 2027–2028 onwards.
Sir William Romney’s School is proposing to reduce its PAN from 125 to 105 from September 2027.
This proposal reflects the declining demand for school places in the local area and is intended to
support the long-term planning and financial sustainability of the school. By making this adjustment,
we will be able to manage our resources more efficiently while continuing to provide high-quality
education for our students.
Please note that no other changes to our admissions arrangements are being proposed at this time.
